Ashita no Joe Live Action Movie

It’s been over 2 years since my last Japanese movie release, and the live-action adaptation of Ashita no Joe manga marks my comeback.

English subs from the leaked Singapore (?) DVD was horrible, so I decided to sub this myself. It’s about 50% completely re-translated, 25% tweaked, and 25% untouched.

This movie was directed by Souri Fumihiko, who also directed the masterpiece sports film Ping Pong (2002) and Zatoichi remake Ichi (2008). Animated feature Vexille (2007) too, but that movie sucked, so I’ll pretend it never happened.

Special thanks to my long-time film editor Brains (eye) and UTW staff Kusion, __ar, and fnord for helping out with with this release.

    • Hey P, good to see you’re still around 🙂
FSC seems pretty dead now, good thing ADC is still very much alive… is there a new torrent forum or something?

      • There’s Asiatorrents (formally Avistaz), they do quite a few rips from ADC and occasionally get some unique stuff.

If there are other sites I’m not aware of them.

Haven’t been to FSC in quite a while…..weird how it went from thriving community to dead…..I seem to remember some downtime, I guess that killed it.
